Frequently Asked Questions

What is sound healing?

Sound healing is a meditative practice that includes various instruments such as singing bowls, chimes, drums, gongs, and even the voice. It is often experienced in a laying down flat setting, but if you are more comfortable sitting up, you still receive the same benefits. Research shows that some of the benefits to sound healing include lowering blood pressure, lowering heart rate, decreasing anxiety and stress, increasing clarity, improving mood, better sleep, and more creativity after the session.

What is the breathwork service that you provide?

The breathwork that I take my clients through is a yogic style breathing series. During the session, you can sit up in a comfortable position on the floor, a yoga mat, or a cushion. Another option is to sit on a chair or couch with your feet on the floor. We can tailor the session to your needs. There are options for activating breathwork if that is what you need or for relaxing breathwork that slows the body down to a more restful state.

How can I schedule an appointment?

For virtual sessions, you may sign up through the Appointment section. For any in person or private sessions, please fill out our contact form or contact us by emailing celestialsoundandbreath@gmail.com for further information. We look forward to hearing from you!

What do I need for a virtual session?

Headphones are recommended for all virtual sessions for a more optimal listening experience. Dress comfortably. A blanket and pillow are often used for sound therapy as it is often a laying down experience. An eye pillow is optional. For breathwork or guided meditation, you may want a cushion or pillow to sit up on. Let us know if you have any questions.
